Connection Capital clients are typically experienced investors seeking to add direct private equity investments to their portfolios. Many are entrepreneurs who have built up substantial businesses themselves. Others have had successful careers in the corporate world or in the City. They are all individuals who wish to take more control over where their money is invested. Many are attracted by the “interest factor” that investing with Connection Capital gives them, namely, the ability to invest in a private company and follow its development through to exit.

Most of our clients are “portfolio builders”; they are seeking to build a wide portfolio of relatively small investments across a diverse range of businesses. Some prefer to make fewer but larger investments in, for example, the sectors they know best. Many others lie somewhere in between.

Although most of our clients prefer to make passive investments, others like to put their commercial expertise to good use by joining the boards of portfolio companies as a non executive director or chairman. The collective experience of our clients covers a vast range of business sectors and is an invaluable resource for Connection Capital and its investee companies.
