Claire Madden

Claire is responsible for all aspects of Connection Capital’s relationship with its clients including client acquisition, client relationship management, client administration, corporate marketing and business development.

Claire, a former Investment Executive with 3i plc, has extensive experience of the private client investment industry. In 2002 she co-founded Hotbed Limited, a start up business which went on to become the UK’s leading private investor syndicate with more than 700 members who invested in excess of £160m between 2002 and 2008.

As Client Director at Hotbed Limited from 2002 until 2008, Claire recruited, trained and managed a team of six people who dealt with all aspects of Hotbed’s relationships with its clients, including back office systems and administration. She was the driving force behind the strategy of building and managing the company’s own client base rather than distributing proprietary product through third parties such as IFAs, wealth managers and private banks. A senior member of the Executive Committee which ran the business covering operations, strategy and compliance, she also sat on the Investment Committee.
