In January 2018, Connection Capital completed an investment in the hedge fund seeding vehicle, Stable Seed Fund, which is managed by Stable Asset Management.
The Fund provides seed capital to new and emerging hedge fund managers.
It aims to invest $50-75 million into each underlying fund, with a target of investing in six to eight different hedge funds. In exchange for locking up the fund investment for three years and providing oversight and support to the underlying managers in establishing their credentials, business disciplines, practices and gathering assets, Stable is able to negotiate a share of the revenues the underlying manager derives from managing its fund.
