I joined Connection Capital in May 2017 and head up the Compliance and HR departments. This is a very varied role where I am responsible for ensuring that we maintain a culture of professionalism, integrity, client and regulatory focus, with strong systems and controls within the business. I also look after the welfare of the staff at Connection Capital.
I have been in the financial services industry for over 24 years and hold various financial services qualifications, including Diploma PFS, and also a BA (Hons) in Humanities (History, Spanish and Linguistics) from the University of Hertfordshire.
Before joining Connection Capital, I held senior compliance roles for 11 years in the asset management, IFA and SIPP sectors and before that, I was a financial adviser for 10 years and held operational management and paraplanner roles in the interim. My HR experience has come from working for smaller businesses over the last 11 years and holding positions of trust, and because I tend to be very organised.
Outside of work, my interests are attending live music events, dining out, travel, history and science fiction.
