UK private equity firm Connection Capital has supported portfolio company ESG Group (‘ESG’) with further investment to acquire the business and operations of Euroview Architectural Glass Ltd (‘Euroview’), a £14m revenue manufacturer of high-performance insulated glass units to create a £30m revenue group.

ESG (esg.glass) is a leading UK glass processor that manufactures security, toughened and switchable glass products, serving sectors from commercial interiors to major infrastructure. Previous projects include the redevelopment of Battersea Power Station, Heathrow Airport and the new Paddington Crossrail scheme.

The strategic acquisition unites two highly respected UK manufacturers and significantly broadens the Group’s technical capability and offering across architectural and commercial glazing markets.

Operational capacity to manufacture its high-performance glass products has also increased across two sites with production facilities covering c150,000 sq ft.

The UK glass processing market continues to evolve in response to higher building performance standards, energy efficiency requirements and increasingly complex project specifications. The acquisition supports ESG’s long-term development within an attractive and specialist segment of the market.

Bernard Dale, Co-founder and Managing Partner at Connection Capital, said:

“Euroview is a strong strategic fit for ESG and we are delighted to be able to support the acquisition. This transaction reflects our approach of backing management teams with flexible capital and strategic guidance to pursue disciplined growth opportunities.”

Scott Sinden, Group CEO for ESG said: “We’re incredibly proud to welcome Euroview into the ESG Group. This acquisition accelerates our strategic growth and delivers a complete commercial glass solution for our customers encompassing the building envelope through to interior glazing —high performance insulated glass units, balustrades and processed interior glass. It’s a major milestone, and a first of this scale for the UK glass industry.”

The combined group will maintain and expand operations from existing facilities, retaining both ESG and Euroview’s well-regarded manufacturing bases in Witham, Essex while investing in capability, innovation, and customer service excellence.
