Connection Capital has backed the management buyout of Tracsis Events, one of the UK's leading providers of traffic management, parking management and event logistics services. The investment will support the company's next phase of growth, technology development and expansion following its separation from Tracsis plc.

UK private equity firm Connection Capital has backed the management buyout of Tracsis Events Limited, one of the UK's leading providers of traffic management and parking services for major sporting and entertainment venues, retail sites and events of all sizes.

The transaction sees the experienced leadership team of Alex Brunel, Managing Director, and David MacDonald, Operations Director, acquire the business from Tracsis plc with the support of Connection Capital. The management team previously led the businesses that were combined to form Tracsis Events. Now, operating as an independent business, it has the freedom to set direction and pace as Tracsis Events enters its next phase of growth.

Tracsis Events provides mission-critical traffic management, parking operations, consultancy and event logistics services to some of the UK's most recognised events, venues and brands including Silverstone, Glastonbury Festival, Etihad Campus, Bicester Village and the RHS.

Building on a market-leading position

The company has established a strong position in a specialist market where operational expertise, reputation and reliability are critical. It works with many of the UK's largest and most complex events and has developed proprietary software platforms that support both operational efficiency and future growth opportunities.

Recent investment in its own parking management software platform creates additional opportunities to expand the company's technology offering beyond its core services business.

Connection Capital is investing alongside management and will support the company's growth plans, further expansion of its proprietary technology platforms and the pursuit of selected strategic opportunities.

"This is a hugely exciting milestone for the business and for our team. Having spent many years building and growing these operations, Dave and I are delighted to be taking ownership alongside Connection Capital and embarking on the next phase of the company's development.

This next step in our future will enable us to continue supplying market-leading expertise and high delivery standards that have been the foundation for our reputation. The support of Connection Capital provides us with the independence, investment and strategic backing to accelerate growth, continue investing in our people and technology, and further strengthen our position within the market."

Alex Brunel
Managing Director, Tracsis Events

"Tracsis Events is exactly the type of business we like to back: a market-leading company operating in an essential niche, with strong recurring revenues, excellent customer retention and a highly experienced management team.

Alex and Dave have spent decades building their reputations within the industry and have demonstrated an impressive track record of operational delivery and profitable growth. The company's position at the heart of many of the UK's largest events creates a resilient platform from which to grow.

What particularly attracted us was the combination of a high-quality services business and the significant value creation opportunities available through technology. We believe Tracsis Events is well positioned for its next stage of development as an independent business."
