“Working in a small, ambitious team has allowed me to forge strong relationships and leave my mark on both the day-to-day and the bigger picture.”
I joined Connection Capital as Events and Marketing Executive in spring 2025. My core focus is tending to the firm’s external profile – whether through planning and delivering client events, securing speaking opportunities for our people at industry panels, or handling corporate communications across LinkedIn, our website and investor updates.
After graduating from the University of Cambridge with a first-class degree in French and Spanish in 2021, I was drawn to ways I could translate my command of language and communicating – in English or otherwise – into a career in marketing and communications. I spent several years in the built environment sector, first at an internationally renowned membership organisation, then on the delivery side at a large-scale construction contractor.
Moving into private equity has been a refreshing shift – fast-paced, commercially focused, and full of engaging challenges to get stuck into. At Connection Capital, I’ve found the kind of variety and ownership that makes work genuinely rewarding: from refining how we present ourselves externally to planning events that build trust with our clients. Working in a small, ambitious team has allowed me to forge strong relationships and leave my mark on both the day-to-day and the bigger picture. I particularly enjoy the creative side of the role – shaping messaging, designing our social presence, and helping to refine how we communicate in ways that resonate.
While I no longer work directly in languages, I still find ways to indulge my love for them on regular jaunts abroad – with South America a particular favourite region to visit, having done my year abroad in Argentina. My mother tongue, nonetheless, is Scouse, and on the weekends when I’m not back home cheering on my beloved Everton, I’m usually behind the decks attempting to spin house and techno – or in the crowd, watching a professional do it better.
